Short Hills and Millburn sit about forty minutes east of my Neshanic Station studio, and the work here tends to be different in character — headshots and personal branding for people commuting into New York, family sessions built around school and milestone calendars, and events at a scale the western towns rarely ask for.

South Mountain Reservation is the obvious outdoor option and it is a genuinely good one, with mature woodland and elevation right on the edge of town. Millburn centre gives brick, glass and clean modern lines for business portraits that need to look current rather than pastoral. Because so much work here is scheduled around commuting, early morning and evening sessions are usually easier to book than midday.
