Princeton is about twenty-five minutes south of my Neshanic Station studio and offers architecture, institutional grounds and a dense walkable centre that few towns in the region can match.
The university campus and Palmer Square are the obvious draws, and they earn it — stone, arches, courtyards and long formal lawns. Nassau Street gives street-level texture. Institute Woods and the towpath along Carnegie Lake offer quieter, greener ground away from the crowds. Access to campus grounds varies and popular spots get busy, so early morning is usually the difference between a clean frame and a crowded one.
