One meet, 979 frames, ten that travel
AACA meet, 25 August 2026. A single day of club coverage produces an enormous take — the work that matters is what happens after the shutter.
Every frame was reviewed and ranked, and these are the ten handed over first: the images that leave a club’s own audience and land in somebody else’s feed. This is what event coverage looks like when the edit is done properly.

The five that led
01AACA (979 of 979)
The Coca-Cola truck
Early-1950s Ford F-Series in Coca-Cola livery
Clean side profile, hard yellow against dark evergreens, nothing parked behind it to compete with the subject. The kind of frame that carries a brand as well as a car.
02AACA (730 of 979)
Yeah, it’s got a Hemi
Placard on the cowl of a yellow Mopar
The detail an owner brings to a show says as much as the car does. Worth finding and worth shooting.
03AACA (26 of 979)
Superbird wing
Plymouth Road Runner Superbird — rear wing and decal
Cropped tight so the blue fills the frame and the decal reads instantly. Detail crops like this survive being scaled down to a thumbnail, which is where most people will see them.
04AACA (340 of 979)
Bel Air, low and red
1957 Chevrolet Bel Air — front three-quarter
Low camera, full grille, saturated red on green grass. The most recognised profile in American motoring, shot the way owners hope somebody will shoot it.
05AACA (973 of 979)
Rolling GT350H
Shelby GT350H in black and gold, under way
Cars in motion are rarer than cars on grass. Head-on framing on clear asphalt keeps the show clutter out and puts the car where it belongs.
And five more from the same day
Detail studies, portraits and one very good kickstart.

No cage. No leash. No permission.Red-tailed hawk launching off the treeline in central Jersey. Caught this one at the exact moment the late sun hit the underwing. Sometimes the best shots are the ones you didn`t plan — you just had to be ready.

Once in a while, you get to say this: I`m the subject, the photographer, the driver, the mechanic, and the artist; it`s my perfect representation of a proud, accomplished moment in time. I personally love every bit of this photo; I never do.

Didn’t go looking for this.
Just happened to be there when it all lined up.
Light, color, people, timing.
That’s usually how the good ones happen.

Took this years ago.
Still one of my favorites.
No setup. No direction.
Just momentum, laughter, and winter doing its thing.
This is the stuff that sticks.
