Chatham is a Morris County borough and township about forty minutes from my Neshanic Station studio, with a compact downtown, strong schools, and the Great Swamp on its western edge.
Main Street gives a tight, tidy downtown that works well for senior portraits and family sessions that want something other than woodland. The Great Swamp edge on the township side offers boardwalk, reeds and open sky. Because so much of the work here follows the school calendar, autumn books up early — senior portraits and family sessions compete for the same few good weekends.
